A new beginning in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, Vt. –
It’s Sunday, which means we’re celebrating volunteers in our communities.
This week, we’re giving a shout-out to the volunteers with Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity. You can see them in the photos building a home on Albert’s Way in Charlotte.
Organizers tell us about 300 to 400 volunteers are needed to build each home, and their work makes it possible to keep the cost of energy-efficient homes affordable for families. Volunteers work under the supervision of trained site supervisors to make sure all the work is done safely and properly.
And if you have a volunteer you’d like to thank, send your ideas to Julie Kelley at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to include a photo and why you admire the work they do!
