The Burlington Free Press wrote an article on February 7th about our upcoming build project in Charlotte.

"CHARLOTTE -- The first Habitat for Humanity home to be built in Charlotte is slated for construction this summer. It will be the first in Charlotte -- and it also will take the lead in energy efficiency among Habitat homes in New England."

"It's common for Habitat houses to be Energy Star-qualified and to contain environmentally preferred materials. The planned Charlotte residence will bring even more green building attributes to an affordable home, by meeting stringent standards set by the Passive House Institute with a systematic approach to lowering annual energy use."

In addition to partnering with the Town of Charlotte, to build their first ever Habitat housing project, GMHfH will work with Efficiency Vermont and Champlain Valley Weatherization Service to make this ground breaking project a reality.
