Volunteering on Habitat for Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity construction sites is available for individuals, organizations, faith communities or businesses. Volunteers partner with our families to build homes. Please go to our Volunteer page to register for volunteer opportunities.

Not interested in construction but still want to help?
 Other Habitat volunteer opportunities include: committee members (fundraising, family selection, etc) home owner mentors, office volunteers, (landscaping), lunch, snack and dessert providers. Please e-mail for more information.

Individual Opportunities

Whether it’s construction work, helping feed volunteers or serving on a Habitat committee, there are many opportunities available to volunteer. You can register at Volunteer  to see what ongoing Construction  projects are available.

We need you to help build it!

Construction Volunteers

Help Habitat families build their new homes! Construction volunteers are needed at all skill levels.  Youth ages 16-18 must have a parent or guardian on-site working with them. Youth under the age of 16 are not allowed to volunteer for construction projects or at Habitat ReStore yet are welcome to work with us behind the scenes on other projects. Crew Leaders

Do you have high-level construction skills in areas such as foundation finishing (sealing & insulation), framing, roofing, installing siding, soffits and fascia, wall insulation, drywall hanging and finishing, painting, staining and varnishing, landscaping? You could help lead small groups of eager-to-learn volunteers. Contact our Construction Chair to find out more!

Snack Provider

Prepare a snack for building crews. A great way to meet Habitat volunteers and the families that are building with us. The snack providers are always appreciated.

Site Hosts

Do you want to be on the construction site, but not involved with actual construction? A site host volunteer may be the perfect role for you. Site hosts volunteer on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Site hosts help volunteers to sign in and fill out registration cards, coordinate coffee break preparation, general site organization, and lunch set-up and clean-up.

Specialty Areas of Construction

We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a regular weekly schedule. We are especially interested in the following skilled areas: 
* Drivers * Landscapers/Hard-scape Workers * Site supervisors for construction * Warehouse workers
