Set against the gorgeous Shelburne Farms backdrop, people young and old emerged from the community to celebrate how Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity builds homes and changes lives.

Picnic blankets, lawn chairs, croquet and badminton were all great ways to enjoy the cool air breezing through the picnic area from a serene Lake Champlain. For those looking to escape onto the lake, free canoe rentals were available from Canoe Imports.

The BBQ food included hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork, chicken wings, and pasta salad. Prepared by the New England Culinary Institute, the food was worth the hungry wait in line.
